Hamilton in Manila

Image
It was 2016 when I first heard about Hamilton. I started listening to the Original Broadway Cast Recording on Spotify, and I was instantly hooked. I even fooled myself into thinking I was into rap and hip-hop. I was a one-year old lawyer then. I remember being able to finish drafting a pleading—an Answer no less—in less than three hours, and I hear the lines of Non-Stop in my head: “Why do you write like you're running out of time? AsiaPOP Comicon 2018

AsiaPOP Comicon just outdoes itself year after passing year. The event was so organized, seamless, and most important of all, FUN! Netflix's booth is bigger than ever! I rubbed elbows with Daredevil and Archie, watched Josie and the Pussycats perform on stage, hung out at Pop's Diner, played '80s arcade games, and spoke on the phone with Will, who as stuck in the Upside Down. The Bears from We Bare Bears were there! The members of the 501st Legion Philippine Garrison posing for pictures with Star Wars fanboys and fangirls for a good cause. And no pop culture con is complete without cosplayers!

Big Bad Wolf Book Sale

Haul from last night’s trip to the Big Bad Wolf Book sale. I just spent around 20 minutes at the Literature section and skipped the rest. I initially picked up a dozen books, then cut my choices by half after checking book reviews on the Goodreads app. Imagine if I gave myself an entire day to browse…
