Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead

Today's reads. The beautiful Alicia Vikander on the cover of the September issue of Vanity Fair, and Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad. After finishing Yaa Gyasi's Homegoing, I knew I had to have a copy of Whitehead's The Underground Railroad. Both novels are about African slavery. The Underground Railroad is the most anticipated novel of the year, and is the #1 New York Times bestseller.

Sunday reads. Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale is a graceful novel about two French sisters surviving World War II. Plus, I got the October digital edition of Vanity Fair, one of my favorite magazines.
